LoL Patch 12.02: All Buffs and Nerfs [Update]

LoL Patch 12.02 is going to come out on a Thursday, so Riot has an extra day to work on changes for the next patch.

It’s a new season, with a new unique teleport change, new dragons and brand new items. In Patch 12.01, we saw a few champion changes, but nothing too drastic. This is going to change in the second patch of 2022.

In Patch 12.02, we’re getting multiple champion changes – the ones who caught our eye right away were the buffs to our favorite brothers… no, not Nasus and Renekton, but Yasuo and Yone. Who else will be getting a buff this time around?

Champion Buffs in LoL Patch 12.02

There are multiple champions getting buffs this patch. As mentioned, Yasuo and Yone will be getting buffed since their main item Immortal Shieldbow was nerfed pretty hard in the previous patch. Who else joins them, though?

These are all the champions getting buffed in LoL Patch 12.02:

NocturneHP per level increased to 95 and Q AD ratio increased to 85%
YasuoQ AD ratio increased to 105%
YoneQ AD ratio increased to 105%
VolibearAD per level increased to 3.5 and E cooldown decreased to 13 seconds
VeigarQ cooldown lowered to 6-4 and stacks from large minions/monsters increased to 3
TristanaBase HP increased to 600 and HP regen changed from 3.75 to 4
SennaHer Q now slows enemies by 20%(+6%/100AP)(+10%/100bAD) for 2s
SamiraR Damage per bullet changed to 5/15/25/(+50%AD)

According to Riot August on Twitter, Senna is getting buffed since she used to work well in tandem with the old glacial as that did a lot for Senna's pattern, especially as a support marksman. So Riot is going to try adding a slow back onto her kit.

Champion Nerfs in LoL Patch 12.02

With assassins running rampant all over the map in recent weeks, it’s about time Riot did something. Qiyana, Zed, Talon, all of these picks have been incredibly broken throughout the last few patches.

QiyanaGrass Zone duration decreased to 3 seconds and HP regen changed to 6
ZedR base damage decreased to 65% AD
TalonW Monster damage changed form 130% to 105%

Champion Adjustments in LoL Patch 12.02

Some champions are getting their kits looked at and overhauled before the season truly gets rolling. We’ve spoken of the upcoming Janna changes, and have desperately waited for some changes to help Rengar out, but is there anyone else getting their kit adjusted in this patch?

  • Base move speed increased to 330
  • AD increased to 52 + 3/Level
  • Q mana cost changed to 60 - 100, range changed to 1100 minimum and 1760 maximum, travel time decreased to 1.25 seconds
  • W range changed to 650 (center to center), slow duration 3 seconds and cooldown increased to 12 seconds, damage increased to 70 - 190 and passive move speed increased to 8 - 12%
  • E cooldown changed to 15 - 9 seconds, time before shield decays changed to 1.25 seconds, shield amount 80-200(.65AP), and added that when impairing an enemy champion’s movement grants 20% heal and shield power for 5 seconds
  • R healing tick rate changed to 0.25, while total healing remains the same
Tahm Kench
  • Q Slow increased from 40% to 50%
  • E Damage to Grey Health changed from [45/50/55/60/65% >>> 15/25/35/45/55%, increased to 45/50/55/60/65% if there are 2 or more visible nearby enemy champions] and Grey Health to Health changed from [30-100% scaling from level 1-18] to [45-100% scaling from level 1-18]
  • R Ally Shield changed from [400/500/600 (+100% AP)] to [500/700/900 (+150% AP)] and Ally Cast changed from [Slows Kench for 30/20/10% for the duration of the devour] to [Grants Kench 40% Move Speed for 3]

The Tahm Kench changes mean that he might be a viable support once more, something Riot wants, as stated in a tweet by RiotPhroxzon on Twitter. Let’s see where these massive changes leave these champions.

System Buffs in LoL Patch 12.02

There are two items that will be receiving buffs in LoL Patch 12.02.

System Nerfs in LoL Patch 12.02

The system nerf list is also pretty short in comparison to the champion list above. We’ve also only got three nerfs coming to items and runes.

Chemtech SoulZombie bleedout changed to 3s and Zombie health changed to 70% and 40% bonus health
Chemtech TerrainRecamo timer changed to 2.5s and damage amp up changed up to 12% instead of up to 10%

Many fans will rejoice at the chemtech nerf. The chemtech dragon has been the most talked-about of all the changes Riot implemented in the pre-season.

When Will LoL Patch 12.02 Be Released?

According to the official League of Legends patch schedule, the patch will release on Thursday, January 20, 2022. So be prepared for some major changes in the upcoming patch update. Zeri will also be released, and we’re getting some fancy new skins!
