Now let's take a look at which three games Sony could have in stock for April 2024.

PlayStation Plus April 2024 Games Forecast

As is tradition, PS Plus subscribers can expect three new games to be available to download and play next month. While the lineup remains undisclosed, we can't help but indulge in a little speculation. Here's our take on what's in store for PS Plus Essential in April:

Forspoken

The story revolves around Frey, a New Yorker who is unexpectedly transported from reality to the fantastical realm of Athia, where a malevolent force known as The Break threatens to destroy everything. In Athia, once benevolent rulers have gone rogue, seeking to spread chaos and destruction.

Though immune to the evil that plagues Athia, Frey becomes its last hope, using newfound magical abilities she has acquired since her arrival. Her success or failure in saving Athia may determine the fate of her return to the real world.

While the story has been criticized for its many stereotypes, gaps in logic and poor pacing, as well as flat characters and cringe-y dialogue, Forspoken can impress with a great combat system and spectacular boss fights.

Releasing the game on PS Plus could help the studio attract new players who might be put off by the critical reception and high price.

Metro Exodus

In Metro: Exodus, players control Artyom, the protagonist of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, who embarks on a journey with his wife Anna and the Spartan unit aboard the Aurora steam locomotive.

Their discovery of jamming transmitters outside Moscow, mentioned in Metro 2035, forces them to leave the Metro system and venture into the unknown. Along the way, they encounter survivors and face challenges in a post-nuclear Russia that challenge their beliefs and alliances.

Released in 2019 for PC and 2021 for consoles, the game is already a few years old, but still inspires with its dark atmosphere and exciting theme. In addition, a new installment has been announced for 2024. Therefore, a PS Plus release is not unlikely.

Little Nightmares 2

Little Nightmares II presents an immersive adventure in which you take on the role of Mono, a young boy who has become entangled in a twisted reality that is shaped by the ominous broadcasts of the distant signal tower.

Guided by Six, the familiar figure in the yellow raincoat, Mono embarks on a quest to unravel the Tower's sinister secrets and save Six from her perilous fate.

The 2021 game will get a sequel in 2024, and we already had the first game in the series on PS Plus two years ago, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Little Nightmares 2 in our monthly collection.
