It has now been 8 years since Rainbow Six Siege was released and it has become one of Ubisoft's biggest successes.

The big financial update for FY24-25 made it clear that Ubisoft is not doing so well. But one game seems to go against the trend and is still making Ubisoft a lot of money.
Better numbers than the entire Far Cry franchise
The year has been really strong for Rainbow Six Siege. The Year 9 Season 3 Battle Pass achieved the second-highest conversion rate ever, and the game also had some successes compared to Ubisoft's other franchises. As a single game, Rainbow Six Siege is nearly as successful as the entire Assassin's Creed franchise combined.
Over the past decade, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has generated around €4bn, Rainbow Six Siege has generated over €3.5 billion (bn) and Far Cry has topped around €2bn.
However, the smaller franchises also enjoyed success, and with The Division, Ghost Recon and Just Dance breaking the €1 billion barrier, Ubisoft now owns 6 brands with that amount of consumer spending.
Nevertheless, the year remains a failure for Ubisoft. With the performance of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Star Wars: Outlaws, Ubisoft was dealt a heavy blow, which is why Ubisoft also decided to delay Assassin's Creed Shadows until next year.
It's clear that Ubisoft know they need to make some changes, but it's not yet clear what those changes will be. We'll probably get a better idea of what they're planning when the new Assassin's Creed is released next year.
