Do you remember the Modern Warfare campaign mission "Death from Above"? The mission was awesome and a lot of fun. As confirmed by a short clip, we will see a very similar mission in the new Modern Warfare 2. Let's take a closer look at the AC-130 mission.

Modern Warfare 2 AC-130 Mission

A short promotional clip currently running on Facebook and Instagram shows a brief glimpse of a campaign mission with the AC-130. In the 15-second clip, we see Ghost and Soap, the latter of whom appears to request the gunship, after which the view changes to the AC-130's gunner's perspective. Here is the short clip:

Even though the video doesn't show much, it reminds us a lot of the "Death from Above" mission from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. In this mission, we took on the role of the gunner of a powerful AC-130 Gunship and had to provide air support for Captain Price and his team on the ground. We could switch between three different guns of different calibers and had to take out houses, vehicles and infantry.

The AC-130 mission in Modern Warfare 2 won't be a 1-to-1 remake of the old mission, of course, since MWII will be set in Mexico and not Russia. Still, it looks like we'll be back in the shoes of an AC-130 gunner, providing fire support to Task Force 141 or at least Ghost and Soap.

For all multiplayer fans who are not really interested in the campaign, this also means that the AC-130 or the Gunship will almost certainly be available again as a killstreak.

That's all we can deduce from the very short clip so far. Are you already hyped for Modern Warfare 2? If you pre-order the game, you can even play the campaign a week before release, so head to your nearest online store!
