Minecraft Streamer Dream Selling Baby Pictures

I really do have a weird job, but at least I'm not selling baby pictures. I just write about people who do.

When it comes to weird stuff some streamers do, or weird stuff they sell, this story here just takes the cake. I mean, who sells baby pictures to their fans? Dream does. I'm sure this dude also built his own little Minecraft dungeon.

My man Jimmy on the other hand does the cool kinda weird stuff:

With more than 30 Million followers on YouTube alone, Dream is one of the biggest Minecraft content creators out there. He, by far, has the worst Stan base, uhm I mean fan base you can find, especially on Twitter. Some of them even call themselves #Dreamsexual, so basically only attracted to the persona of Dream. I'm not kidding.

Talk about parasocial. Normally, streamers don't encourage this kind of behavior, as it can seriously harm them. Amouranth even had a stalker move to the US all the way from Estonia and stalk her PO Box, because he thought they had some kind of relationship. He even tried to break into her house. That sh*t's scary!

Dream on the other hand seems to encourage this kind of weird parasocial behavior. Now he is facing backlash, because he is selling a wristband, containing a USB with weird stuff, like baby pictures, hopefully of himself... I guess...

Why the hell would you do sh*t like that, if your goal is not, to further strengthen the weird bond between you and your fan base.

If the fellow content creator Ludwig send a message to his fans, with his video, "I am not your friend", what kind of message does a bracelet with baby pictures and other personal stuff send?

I don't even have baby pictures of my own family! Why would I want Dream's?!

As a master graduate of sociology who wrote his thesis about Twitch, Robert knows a fair share about streaming. Adding to that, he loves binge-watching TV shows, so he got entertainment covered....
