After more and more news have recently been surfacing on Stranger Things season 5, now it seems like fans will have to wait a little longer for the finale of the popular show.
Stranger Things season 5 is one of the most anticipated releases on Netflix at the moment. It looks like fans will have to wait a little longer, though, as the Writers Guild strike will delay the shows' finale for an uncertain amount of time.

Sadly, the finale for the popular science-fiction horror series will be delayed for an uncertain amount of time due to the strike of the Writers Guild of America.
On May 6, the creators of Stranger Things explained the situation on Twitter, detailing how "writing does not stop when filming begins", stating that "it is not possible during this strike".
Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we're excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then -- over and out. #wgastrong— stranger writers (@strangerwriters) May 6, 2023
This means that the production for Stranger Things season 5 is currently on hold and will only continue, once "a fair deal is reached".
What this means for the release date of the popular franchise is not totally clear. All we know is that fans will have to wait even longer for the highly anticipated continuation.
