According to Blizzard itself, cheating in Overwatch 2 is still a major issue. Apparently, the developer has had to take action against over 50,000 cheating player accounts since the launch of Overwatch 2, despite the introduction of a new defence system. It seems that the problem is still far from being eliminated. To ensure that Overwatch 2 is played fairly in the future, Blizzard wants to tighten the rules drastically.
