343 announced a new Update for Halo Infinite. It's supposed to release in early February, and they claim to finally have a fix for BTB!
It's a shame that Big Team Battle (BTB) is just broken right now. Utterly broken. After all the good 343 have done with Halo Infinite since its release, like addressing numerous issues with the battle pass or the much-maligned in-game cosmetics, they have just failed on this one big issue. One of the main modes of the game is literally unplayable right now. WTF 343? They have recently tried to fix it with a short update, but this seems to have done exactly nothing.
Now they acknowledged their failure and announced a new update, that claims to finally fix Big Team Battle. When will we get this update and what is supposed to be in it?
New Halo Infinite Update Coming In February To Fix BTB
Senior community manager, John Junyszek, went to the Halo Waypoint forums to give an update on recent developments and to let fans know what 343 have been working on and what could be coming up. In this post, he revealed that they finally figured out how to fix BTB and that there will be an update coming very soon!
Using the telemetry we received from the hotfix on January 19, we were able to make a new build with an update that we believe should address the core issue impacting the BTB playlist. The studio ran a successful playtest today and plans to send it off for certification on Monday. After it’s sent off, it will take some time to go through the certification process and to find out if it’s approved.
Once it’s approved, we’ll begin preparing to release it to the public. Since there’s still a little more of the internal release process to go through, the earliest we’d expect this hotfix to land would be next Thursday, February 3.
So there you have it, a new update is coming to Halo Infinite on February 3 or a few days after that. We really hope that this one will finally fix our issues with Big Team Battle, because it is really annoying. It's such a fun mode and the maps are so good, we just need it in our lives. And we don't have that right now. That makes me even sadder than the long wait time for Season 2, I can tell you that for sure...
