Horizon Forbidden West was just released on February 18, 2022 and players have already noticed a small visual bug in the game. The game seemed to literally sparkle for some players. If you enjoy sparkly things, then good for you.
The sparkling effect seemed to impact players playing the game on performance mode, but not everyone likes their game to be so shimmery, which is why a solution for this situation had to be found. Pronto.
Some of the players quickly tried to find a solution, suggesting stopgap fixes like re-enabling motion blur. This solution was posted on Reddit shortly after the bug was found by the players.
What is Guerrilla Games Doing To Fix The Issue?
Developer, Guerrilla Games, quickly came out with their own quick fix for the shimmering issue. So, what do you, as the player have to do for the issue to be fixed? Easy, just restart the game. Twice.
Guerrilla Games sent out a tweet on February 18, 2022 explaining that the first restart will fix the download and the second restart will activate the fix! So, go out restart the game twice and you’ll be able to save the world in Horizon Forbidden West.
