After Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games are set to release Marvel's Wolverine. After a long period of hearing nothing, an insider has now revealed some exciting details about the game.
We're all patiently waiting for Marvel's Wolverine, Insomniac Games' next crack at a beloved superhero after their amazing take on Spider-Man. The next Spider-Man is coming soon, but when can we expect to finally see Wolverine on the PS5? And what could the game be like? We seem to finally have some answers to these questions.
Marvel's Wolverine Set To Release in 2024, First Details Leaked
Industry insider and trusted reporter Jeff Grubb has talked about Wolverine on his podcast Game Mess Mornings. In it, the Grubbster reveals some details he heard about Wolverine. Insomniac is claimed to be targeting a Fall 2024 release window for Marvel's Wolverine. However, that could be pushed back to 2025.
So, we'll have to wait a while to see Logan in all his Next-Gen glory. But what kind of game can we expect? Grubb says, that Wolverine will follow a "semi-open" structure, similar to God of War. That means that fans can expect a mostly linear action game, with large hub areas that invite a bit of exploration.
Fans can also look forward to a properly violent and dark Wolverine adaptation here. The game is set to target an M for Mature rating, so no holding back here. That's really good to hear, as a Wolverine game without him slicing up some fools would just be missing something important.
Grubb ensures that the team at Insomniac is working at something "really special" here, and we hope he's right. A Wolverine game by the folks who brought us the most recent Spider-Man games, what's not to love? Knowing how long we have to wait, though... that really hurts.
