How much Star Wars is too much Star Wars? Spending over 300 hours painting a 1/43 scale model of the Millennium Falcon, complete with decals? Probably not. But what about playing a new Star Wars game every 6 months? Would that become boring? Or does it sound just right? Because Disney has exactly that in mind...

Disney Wants A New Star Wars Game Every 6 Months

According to industry insider Tom Henderson, Disney's plan for Star Wars is to produce a new game every six months, with every other game being a triple-A title. As he writes:

Entertainment giant Disney wants a new Star Wars video game release every 6 months. It’s understood that Disney wants one major AAA title and one smaller game per fiscal year, which is something Lucasfilm is set to deliver on.

The ramp-up in video game development for Star Wars games comes after EA lost its exclusivity access to the franchise.

So Disney are keen on capitalizing where EA couldn't? Well, they certainly have the investment capital for it, thanks in part to all the wealthy people who now literally live in Disneyland. Let's see how they do.

Games Currently In Development

Here are the games we already know about:

When you see the list of what they're already making, this new schedule actually sounds more realistic. This being the world of video games, we have to expect that delays will occur, but they might not be far off with once per six months.

What do you think about the schedule, do you even want a new game every six months? Or is that a Star Wars overload?

These games could show us every side of the Star Wars universe, but we can guarantee something they won't be showing us...
