By now we got even more leaks about Sly Cooper 5 from reliable sources like AccountNGT on Twitter, stoking the fires even more for a comeback of Sly Cooper. Check out our dedicated article on this recent leak to see all the info from that one. You should also read on to see our original article on everything we know about Sly Cooper 5!

So the Sly Cooper 5 rumor mill is spinning again. We wrote about the supposed upcoming Sly Cooper game here, and here, and we all know that the third time's a charm, right? The rumors are piling up, and the pile is getting way too high to ignore. At this point, we all have to acknowledge: Sly Cooper 5 is real, and it's happening.

Leak: Sly Cooper 5 Will Be Revealed in 2022

Kawaki Uzumaki seems to be a new player on the leaker-front, but if you're worried about his chops, then rest assured, because Nick Baker confirmed his tweet, saying that, yes, Sly Cooper 5 has in fact been in development since the summer of this year, and that he can also confirm the reveal taking place at a State of Play around mid-2022.

The only real question left is whether this new Sly Cooper game will actually be Sly Cooper 5, or if we will see the devs rebooting the Sly Cooper franchise. Either way, we're getting the return of an amazing franchise that's been away for way too long. Especially now that Ratchet & Clank proved just how successful animated games can be (and how good they can look), the return of Sly Cooper and the gang feels long overdue. Oh, and while we're at it: Naughty Dog needs to bring back Jak & Daxter too, so we can have the holy trinity of AAA animation gaming back in our lives.

Anyway, this latest leak joins a number of Sly 5 leaks, which we've reported on before, and, at this point, Sly 5 being in development is the definition of an open secret. All we can do now is wait for more news to drop, so, in the meantime, be aware that we do cover gaming news like this and more every single day. Don't believe me? Watch:
