Arcane Season 2: Finally News On Release Date Revealed

Arcane was the biggest hit of 2021 and fans have patiently been waiting for Season 2. Now a year-and-a-half after the release of the show, Riot is finally giving fans some breadcrumbs of information.

Arcane Season 2. When will it finally be released? Until now all we've had, were estimations and wishful thinking, but recently, Riot Games CEO Nicolo Laurent gave an interview in which he was asked about the Netflix series.

He couldn't give us much, but he did make a few comments which have given fans hope for a release of the series. When will we get to follow Vi, Caitlyn and Jinx into the world of Runeterra once more?

Arcane Season 2: Release Not In 2023

For anyone who was hoping for Arcane Season 2 by the end of 2023, you'll be greatly disappointed, and are going to have to wait even longer for the second season.

In an interview with LPL caster Gian Ze Yuan, Laurent was asked about Arcane 2 and while the CEO did state that episode 3 has already been finished, he also explained that the series is not yet ready to be released.

[...] you want the quality, you just don't wanna rush, and so that takes time. So that's the good reason. The bad reason is honestly like, we didn't know if Season 1 was gonna be a success… If I had known we could have started Season 2 way earlier, but we didn't know so we kind of waited a bit and so now we're paying the price, so it's unfortunately not going to be this year.

Not only does it take forever for Arcane season 2 to release, but also to get into a game of League:

The first season of Arcane took Riot 6-years to make, and many fans knew that the wait for season 2 would also be quite long, though Riot did promise not to make viewers wait another 6-years.

With Arcane having been a huge gamble at first, especially with how bad reception has been for multiple video game adaptations in the past, Riot decided to see how the public would react before signing off on more seasons.

This will mean that viewers are going to have to wait until 2024 or even 2025 for the second season of the series. If you want to know more about Arcane and the process of making games, then you should definitely check out the Canary Islands, because much of the production happened out there. Just a small fun-fact for all you Arcane lovers out there.
