New Year, new League of Legends. At least that’s what we’re hoping for. This year, we’ve got quite a few changes that will hit the rift like two new dragons inspired by Piltover and Zaun, as well as an objective bounty system and a few new items as well.
So, with all these new things hitting the rift, we also want to state that there are also a couple things that didn’t change. Bi-weekly patch notes are still a thing, and today we’re going to go over the first patch of 2022 – LoL Patch 12.01.
All Champion Buffs and Nerfs in LoL Patch 12.01
Champion Nerfs in LoL Patch 12.01
There are a few champions that have just been too strong throughout the pre-season. These champions are being dialed back and nerfed so that players can have a better time in the jungle and the bot lane.
|Sona||Base Stats Armor Growth reduced to 3 and E cooldown lowered to 14 Seconds|
|Rek'Sai||E – Furious Bite Physical Damage 55/60/65/70/75 (+85% bonus AD) and E – Tunnel cooldown 26/24/22/20/18 seconds|

On the other hand, two champions have been on the lower end of the win rate spectrum. These champions will receive a little buff from Riot to help them have a good start into 2022.
|Diana||Passive AP ratio increased from 40% to 50% and Passive damage against monsters changed from 250% to 300%|
|Gangplank||Q cooldown reduced from 5 seconds to 4.5 seconds and Mana cost reduced from 60-40 to 55-35|

Item Changes in LoL Patch 12.01
Four items are on the chopping block for the first patch of the new year. Which items will be getting nerfed? Well, there are three items that will receive nerfs, – thank you, Riot! – while a single item is getting a buff in LoL Patch 12.01.

|Force of Nature||Stacking buff duration increased from 5 to 7 seconds and Magic damage reduction at max stacks increased from 20% to 25%|
Item Nerfs in LoL Patch 12.01
|Eclipse||Cooldown for Melee Champions increased from 6 to 8 seconds|
|Immortal Shieldbow||Attack Damage lowered from 55 to 50 and Passive shield strength lowered from 300-800 to 275-650|
|Wits End||Magic resist reduced from 50 to 40 and New build path: Hearthbound Axe + Null Magic Mantle + Pickaxe|
Teleport Changes in LoL Patch 12.01
Teleport has been updated in the pre-season, and it seems like those changes will go live in the first patch of the year. This means that top laners won’t be able to teleport to minions or wards before 14 minutes.
At 14 minutes, teleport will change to ‘Unleashed Teleport’ and you’ll be able to use it as you did before. This is going to change the top lane meta quite a bit since players won’t exclusively take the summoner spell anymore to gain early advantages. Seriously, all this summoner is good for in the early game now, is to teleport to lane. That’s it.
When is LoL Patch 12.01 Releasing?
