Twitch streamer MoistCr1tiKal calls out Twitch for lying, regarding the announced removal of the new branded content guidelines. These new guidelines were introduced on the 6th of June and sparked heavenly criticism from content creatures such as Asmongold. He even called out for other streamers to boycott the streaming website.

This led Twitch to remove the new guidelines "immediately", as announced just a day later. So what are the points of criticism from MoistCr1tiKal?

In a video, released on his YouTube channel "penguinz0", which already accumulated over 2 million views, MoistCr1tiKal calls out Twitch for blatant lying. As stated, he took a look at the terms of service (TOS) of the streaming platform. Under Point 12 "Advertisement" readers can find similarities between the rule and the now removed new content guidelines.

12. Advertisement:Twitch has the exclusive right to monetize the Twitch Services, including without limitation, the exclusive right to sell, serve, and display advertisements on the Twitch Services. This means you may not, nor may you allow a third party to, insert or embed prerecorded advertising units into your live stream, including without limitation video advertisements (whether pre-, mid-, or post-roll); display or “banner” advertisements; and audio advertisements.

A fact that led MoistCr1tiKal to criticize Twitch:

What I find extremely scummy is the way they’re misleading people into thinking this entire branded content policy is gone now, when it’s not. It’s still very much in effect. So, I don’t know why they’re pretending it’s different

We'll remain above the fray, but Twitch are certainly in hot water...
