During The Game Awards 2022, FromSoftware surprisingly revealed that their next big game will be Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. The classic franchise will come back for the first entry since 2012 and people are rightfully excited for it.
A release window for 2023 has already been confirmed, but fans are obviously wondering when exactly we will get FromSoft’s Mech-Action extravaganza. We might have the answer now, thanks to a known leaker.
Armored Core 6 To Release In Fall 2023
These new details were revealed by eXtas1s of exputer, who reliably revealed insider info on games before, including the leak of Hideo Kojima’s Overdose.
According to them and their sources, FromSoftware is targeting a September-October release window for Armored Core 6. It looks likely that the game will launch at the end of September. But keep in mind that it can still be delayed, in case problems come up during the last stretch of developed.
The second half of 2023, especially September, is pretty thin in terms of game releases, so we could definitely see Armored Core make a big splash during that time. The game has also been in development for a while, so this release time would make perfect sense.
And it’s only half a year away, so not too long until we can see what FromSoftware has cooking over there. Thankfully we have other amazing games to tide us over until then, like Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Star Wars Jedi Survivor and Final Fantasy 16. But us FromSoft fanboys really only want Armored Core, so let’s hope it does actually come out in September and won’t be further delayed.
