What seems to be a glitch allows you to shoulder-mount the Scorpion's Cannon in Halo Infinite and use it as a portable weapon in your loadout.

An inquisitive Halo Infinite fan has stumbled upon an amazing game exploit that allows players to wield the Scorpion Tank's Cannon as a hand-held weapon. This glorified Rocket Launcher is now the most powerful gun in the game, and has been confirmed to be an exploitable glitch in the game, not a secret that was hidden by the developers. This is a shame, but one thing's for certain: this is freakin' awesome!

Halo Infinite has not been without its fair share of bugs and glitches, nor problems, with various stability problems that were fixed when the campaign launched, and a plethora of problems with the Battle Pass. It thus goes without saying that this exploitable bug may be addressed by the developers in a future patch. What we're hoping, though, is that it stays in the game as a secret.

Discovered by a number of players, Brian Jarrard, a community manager at 343 Industries, confirmed that the exploit is a glitch when he Tweeted:

Who are the real heroes who've beaten the #HaloInfinite campaign LASO without the wieldable tank turret weapon glitch? (I haven't yet)

Now, we already new that Ske7ch was a boss, but this is some real next-level sauce right here. Players are literally picking up this glitched-out gun in the first hour of the game, and blasting their way to victory with ease. I mean, that's no surprise: you are literally shooting a tank cannon!

How to Get the Scorpion Tank Gun in Halo Infinite

The Scorpion Tank Gun is actually insanely easy to get in Halo Infinite, so we're going to walk you through the process right here. At the end of this description we'll plop a fabulous little video for you to check out.

Play Through the Game's Opening Missions

Before you can unlock the Scorpion Gun, you need to play through Halo Infinite's two introductory missions. Now, these missions can be completed pretty easily and will need to be finished as you usually would, with the conventional Halo Infinite weapons that are at your disposal.

Reach the Zeta Halo

Once you have played through the first two missions in the game, you will reach the Zeta Halo and the game's first open-world section. When you reach this area you will be faced immediately with the mission "Outpost Tremonius", which tasks you with clearing the outpost in front of you and calling in the Chopper for extraction.

Head to the LZ

You now need to head over to the Landing Zone, or LZ, and take out as many enemies as you can in this area. You need to head to the right of where the mission starts, where you will see a razed level on top of a wall, with two massive Railguns on top of it.

Grapplehook up to the Railguns

You now need to use your Grapplehook to pull yourself to the top of the wall and onto the area which houses those two aforementioned Railguns. This may require a few tries, as the wall is quite high and there may be quite a few enemies around, but it is very doable and should only take a maximum of a few attempts.

Collect the Scorpion Gun from the Railgun

Now head to the very far end of the platform, to the second Railgun, and climb on top of it. When you get to the muzzle of the Railgun you need to look down and you will notice that you are given a prompt to press "x". Press "x" and you will now have replaced the gun in your hand with the Railgun. Whoop-de-doo, you have it! This is going to be awesome!

So there you have it, folks, you have now acquired the Scorpion Gun in Halo Infinite, via the aforementioned glitch. It is hilarious, and works an absolute charm. The only thing we would say is that you need to keep in mind that this works the same way as when you are shooting with the tank. In other words: you have to shoot it horizontally or you will blow yourself up! If you need to shoot upwards or downwards, make sure to do a little jump when you fire. Alright, folks, that's all for now, have fun!
