Bel'Veth is officially making her way onto the Rift in the next League of Legends patch. She is going to be beautiful and so scary, and the perfect jungler. Let's check out everything we know about Bel'Veth — her abilities, lore and gameplay as we prepare for her entrance.

On May 24, 2022, Riot revealed her entire kit, as well as her release skin. So let's go over every detail we know about Bel'Veth and look at her in great detail. Who else is excited about this monstrous jungler to hit the rift?

Bel'Veth Kit in Detail

Let's quickly go over her kit that Riot has revealed on the official Twitter. One thing we will have to say right off the bat is that you'll definitely want to be building attack speed for Bel'Veth if you really want her to hit hard and fast.

AbilityText
Passive - Death in Lavender
  • After ability use, Bel'Veth's next 2 attacks have increased attack speed. Take down a large monster or Champ & gain permanent attack speed as Lavender stacks. Bonus is uncapped, but her attacks & on-hit effects deal decreased damage & does not gain attack speed on level up.
Q - Void Surge
  • Bel'Veth dashes in one of four directions, dealing damage to all enemies she passes through and applying on-hit effects. Each direction has its own unique cooldown that scales with attack speed.
W - Above and Below
  • Bel’Veth slams her tail down, dealing damage, knocking up, and slowing enemies hit. Upon hitting an enemy champion, this ability reduces Q - Void Surge’s dash cooldown in the direction of the champion hit.
E - Royal Maelstrom
  • Bel’Veth channels a storm of slashes around her, gaining damage reduction & increased life steal. Each slash strikes the lowest health enemy within her Maelstrom, dealing more damage the more health they are missing. The amount of slashes scales with her attack speed.
R - Endless Banquet
  • Passive: Every 2nd attack against the same target deals increased True Damage, stacking infinitely. Takedowns against Epic Monsters & Champs leaves behind Void Coral (VC). Epic Monsters from the Void like Rift Herald and Baron Nashor drop special, voidier VC.
  • Active: Consume VC & explode, slowing & dealing True Damage. Afterwards, Bel’Veth temporarily changes into her True Form. Consuming VC left by Epic Void Monsters grants her True Form for longer & causes minions that die nearby to be reborn as Voidlings.
  • True Form: When Bel’Veth unleashes her True Form, she gains increased max health, out-of-combat move speed, attack range, and total attack speed. While in her True Form, she also gains the ability to dash through walls with Q - Void Surge.

She sounds... strong. But it will have to be tested on the PBE Server to truly feel just how strong she can be. Of course, as with all new champions, she's got multiple dashes. Not only that, but she’s got some crowd control as well, which will make her a threat, especially when ganking.

Bel'Veth Release Skin Revealed

Bel'Veth is going to be released with a Battle Boss skin. This has been leaked ahead of time, but now we've got confirmation from Riot that the first skin the new jungler will have is part of the Battle Boss and Arcade universe.

Bel'Veth will join Malzahar, Qiyana and Veigar in the universe as game bosses and honestly? The skin looks dope. She feels like a final boss in a video game as well, especially with how strong she seems to be in her canon lore. Come on, a sentient Void spawn that knows she's more than just there to consume and grow?

Also, the JoJo like animations just fit perfectly with a fun skin line like Battle Boss. So this is a perfect skin for her debut, right?

What is Bel'Veth's Lore?

Bel'Veth is a void spawn unlike any we have ever encountered before. While void creatures like Vel'Koz are aware of the Watchers, he cannot be considered completely sentient. Bel'Veth is, having been a creature in the making for centuries.

She is a reaction between reality and the Void, an inevitable creature that has been affected by existence shattering the nothingness of the Void. She is a mutation of the Void consuming a whole city, thus relishing in all the memories and emotions of the fallen town and everything within it.

Having been created from this unique combination of Void and living entity, she has become a sentient being ready to destroy Runeterra, as well as the domain of her creators — the Watchers.

When Will Bel'Veth Release?

Bel'Veth is going to swim onto the Rift in League of Legends Patch 12.11. This means she will be released on June 8, 2022. You'll be able to pick up Bel'Veth, as well as the Battle Boss Bel'Veth skin, then. Sometimes it takes a day until the champion is live, so you might only get to play her on June 9, 2022, though.

Who else is excited about the next League of Legends champion? Bel'Veth looks incredible, and she seems to be very strong. But Riot is working on a durability update, so she might not be able to one-shot opponents right upon release, right?
