Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has been banned days after eating edibles and passing out in front of thousands of viewers during his live broadcast.

Kai is one of Twitch's biggest content creators. Starting out in 2021, he has since become the most subscribed to streamer on the platform in 2022, collaborating with major celebrities like Lil Baby, 21 Savage or Blueface.

Now on January 26, 2023, Kai has suddenly been banned on Twitch, with fans still confused as to why.

Even though no official reason for his ban has been revealed yet, this might be related to Kai passing out on stream after taking edibles just two days prior.

The Twitch’s Community Guidelines do contain rules against drug use on stream.

“[D]angerous consumption of alcohol or other substances that lead to being incapacitated” is mentioned as “self-destructive behavior” in the community guidelines.

Kai Cenat Responds After Sudden Twitch Ban

On Twitter, Kai responded to the ban, joking how he got "Banned Before Subathon" and that he hasn't even been live.

As of now, it's still unclear just how long the ban will be, but it looks like he’ll have to delay his subathon a bit.
