Now, yes, that thumbnail is not the Mythic Skull. We're aware, okay, but showing you the location would be a little bit a spoiler, wouldn't it? In the end, you have to remember that Halo Infinite is a bloody big game, with tons of stuff to do, and tons of different Skulls to collect. Part of the fun is finding those aforementioned skulls yourself, so you can't blame us for not spoiling this one in the thumbnail.

Anyway, the Mythic Skull is a rather powerful one, and certainly one to utilize on future playthroughs. This is part of the reason why so many of you want to find the Mythic Skull. You'll want to master the game, and get as good as you can get, before any potential Story DLC gets launched later this year. That's what we're here to explore, so let's take a look at what the Mythic Skull is and where you can find it.

What is the Mythic Skull in Halo Infinite?

The Mythic Skull increases the health of enemies in Halo Infinite's Campaign. With a description reading "Because it wasn't hard enough", it is clear that this particular skill is not for the faint of heart. It will also be necessary, and make things especially difficult, when attempting a LASO Playthrough of the campaign.

Honestly, Halo Infinite is not the easiest game, but also not the hardest. When playing on Legendary or Heroic difficulties, you will find that enemies are - quite often - bullet sponges. They are rather difficult to shoot down, and rather difficult to outsmart. Thus, beating the game with the Mythic Skull switched on is especially difficult and the sign of a true Halo pro!

How to Get the Mythic Skull in Halo Infinite

Following is a series of tasks that need to be completed for you to find and get the Mythic Skull. It is not just a matter of knowing where it is, but also a matter of understanding exactly what you need to do to pop it in your pocket. Here are the details!

Make Your Way to Mission 11: The Command Spire

This one is pretty straight forward: you need to get to the right mission before you can pick up the Mythic Skull! The mission in question is Mission 11: The Command Spire, and it's actually a pretty good mission!

Reach the Hexagonal Pillars

The mission begins with a number of pillar processing rooms, filled with enemies. Eventually you will reach a rather large room situated after a Gravity Lift. Kill the enemies inside and head down the room whilst paying attention to the transforming hexagonal pillars.

Jump onto the Floating Beams

When the pillars turn to the right you will be faced with a number of enemies. Eliminate them and then locate the weapon rack. There is a support beam to the left of it and, whilst standing on said beam, you need to Grappleshot onto the floating beams that are turning right. As it turns right, then Grappleshot into the room above.

Reach the Blue Door

Once you are in the room, look up again and Grappleshot onto the ledge above you. Now that you are in the opening, you will see a blue door. Unsurprisingly, you need to open the door.

Well, there you have it! The Mythic Skull is yours, and it's fantastic. If you can beat Halo Infinite's Campaign with the Mythic Skull switched on then we will tip our hat to you, dear EarlyGamer! This truly is the return-to-form we hoped Halo Infinite to be, despite its shortcomings, so we hope that you enjoy the campaign, pick up the Mythic Skull, and have a jolly ol' time!
