In Hogwarts Legacy, players can become stronger wizards not only by learning spells and talents but also by brewing potions that can aid them in combat. You can learn how to make potions by following the main story, which provides a tutorial on the basics of potion brewing in Hogwarts Legacy.

Once you've completed your first lesson with Professor Sharp, you'll be able to make potions in two main locations – the Potions classroom and the Room of Requirement, which will become accessible later in the game.

To make a potion, head to your potions station in either of these locations and interact with it. A menu will appear, allowing you to select the potion you want to make. As long as you have the recipe and the required ingredients, the potion should start brewing immediately, and a timer will appear to indicate how long it will take to complete.Once the brewing process is complete, the potion will be ready to collect, and you can use it to gain various benefits, such as healing, boosting combat abilities, or providing temporary protection against different types of damage. By mastering the art of potion brewing, players can become even more skilled and powerful wizards, making their way through the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy with ease.

How To Get Potion Recipes In Hogwarts Legacy

To make a potion in Hogwarts Legacy, players first need to acquire the recipe for it. While some potion recipes can be obtained through the main story, the majority of them need to be purchased from J Pippin's Potions, a shop located in Hogsmeade. To find the shop, players can use the map to navigate through Hogsmeade until they spot the storefront. Once there, players can browse through the available potion recipes and purchase the ones they need using the in-game currency.

It's worth noting that players can sell their unwanted gear at J Pippin's Potions as well, allowing them to earn some extra spending money to put towards purchasing new potion recipes or other useful items. By exploring the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy and investing in the right equipment and ingredients, players can become powerful wizards capable of facing any challenge that comes their way.

Where To Find Potion Ingredients In Hogwarts Legacy

After purchasing a potion recipe from J Pippin's Potions in Hogsmeade, players can obtain the necessary ingredients from various shops in the area. Some ingredients may only be available at certain stores, such as Fluxweed Stem, which can be found at The Magic Neep.In addition to purchasing ingredients, players can also find them while exploring the open world of Hogwarts Legacy. It's a good idea to pick up any mushrooms or other items that players come across while exploring, as they may be useful for brewing potions later on.

By collecting ingredients and following recipes, players can brew a wide range of potions that provide useful effects in combat and other situations. With the right combination of potions, spells, and equipment, players can become powerful wizards capable of overcoming any challenge that they encounter in the magical world of Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy: Herbology Class

As you progress through the main story of Hogwarts Legacy, you will eventually come across Herbology as a subject, and this is where you will be introduced to Professor Garlick, who will be your instructor for the class.

In Hogwarts Legacy, Herbology is a skill that allows you to gather and cultivate various plants and fungi that can be used for a variety of purposes. To get started, you'll need to visit the Herbology greenhouse, which can be found in the school grounds.

Inside the greenhouse, you'll be able to interact with various plants and containers to collect different types of seeds, cuttings, and spores. These can then be used to grow new plants and fungi, which can in turn be harvested for materials such as roots, leaves, and flowers.

These plant materials can be used for a variety of purposes, including as ingredients for potions or as tools for completing tasks and puzzles throughout the game. For example, you might need to use a certain type of plant to create a potion that will help you defeat a particularly tough enemy, or you might need to gather specific materials to create a key that will unlock a hidden area.As you progress through the game and level up your Herbology skill, you'll be able to access more and more advanced plant materials, which can be used to create more powerful potions and tools. So if you're interested in becoming a master herbologist, be sure to spend plenty of time in the greenhouse and keep an eye out for rare and valuable plant specimens!

Growing Your Plants

If you want to cultivate your own plants and ingredients, you'll need to acquire seeds, which are available for purchase at The Magic Neep.

If you are missing some ingredients and don't want to wait for them to grow, you can also buy ready-to-use ingredients at this shop.

At first, you can only grow seeds in the Herbology classroom where you learned about the subject, which may not be the most convenient location.

To improve your options, it is recommended that you continue to progress through the main quests until you unlock the Room of Requirement, a larger space where you can install potting tables. Initially, you'll only have access to the smallest potting table, but you can purchase larger ones in Hogsmeade by unlocking the necessary spellcrafts, which can be expensive. Keep this cost in mind when deciding whether to buy the recipes.

The time it takes for plants to grow varies depending on the type of seed, but typically it can take anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes in real-world time. It's important to note that this is not in-game time. Once the plants have fully matured, simply return to the potting table and collect them.

Hogwarts Legacy: Charms Class

Once you have finished the "Welcome to Hogwarts" quest, you can begin to freely explore the castle and pursue two different main quests.

One of these quests is "Charms Class", which you can track on your map by following the marker. Once you arrive, you will be taught how to cast the Accio spell by Professor Ronen.

The class will then go outside to practice using the spell by pulling large balls towards you and earning points. After this, you will compete against Natsai, and in the final round, you will have to navigate through moving boxes while using the Accio spell.

After completing the Charms Class, Professor Ronen will request to speak with you. You can approach him to have a quick conversation, during which he will inform you that he plans to assign you a task outside of the classroom in the near future. This conversation will mark the end of the Charms Class main quest.

As players progress through the Charms Class, they will permanently unlock the Accio spell and learn how to use it during the quest. After this, Professor Ronen will challenge players to a game of Summoner's Court against Natsai Onai.In this mini-game, wizards will use the Accio spell to pull large marbles towards sets of numbers, which include 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 points. The wizard who scores the most points wins the game. While the idea of competing against Natsai Onai may motivate players to win, it is not strictly necessary to defeat her to progress the Hogwarts Legacy story.

Once the game of Summoner's Court is completed, your story will advance.

Hogwarts Legacy: Defense Against the Dark Arts Class

Defense Against the Dark Arts classes are focused on teaching students how to defend themselves against curses and other dark magic.

It cover a range of defensive spells, counter-curses, and techniques for protecting oneself from harm. The ultimate goal is to help students become skilled and confident in their ability to resist and overcome dark magic.

To find the Defence Against the Dark Arts Class, set a marker on your map for the Astronomy Wing and head there.

During the class, you will first learn the Levioso spell, which enables you to pick up objects and levitate them. You will then practice this spell on a training dummy before engaging in a duel with Sebastian. In the duel, you will need to use most of the spells you have learned so far to defeat him.

After the class, Sebastian will approach you and request a conversation in the back of the room. Completing this conversation will mark the end of this main quest.

Hogwarts Legacy: Magical Theory

Magical Theory refers to the area of magic that is focused on uncovering and developing new spells. In other words, when a character in Hogwarts Legacy refers to "discovering" a spell, they are likely talking about their work in Magical Theory.

Magical Theory, the field of magic dedicated to new discoveries, will likely involve newer spells that the player character has not seen before. It is also expected to be closely related to Ancient Magic, which the player has a unique ability to see and use. Eleazar Fig, an important character in the game, is an elderly man who seeks to uncover the truth behind his wife's death, which involves Ancient Magic.

He is a reliable ally who understands the difficulties the player character faces.

During your conversation with Amit, you will have the opportunity to make a few dialogue choices. After the conversation, your next task is to locate Amits telescope. Once you have found the telescope, you will then need to locate an Astronomy table in a different area of Hogwarts.

Follow Amit, and then proceed to walk along the castle wall to your right. You will need to use the spells Depulso and Incendio to clear the path of boxes and cobwebs before interacting with the astronomy table. Align the diagram with the stars, zooming in as necessary. After the following cutscene, the main quest will come to an end.

Hogwarts Legacy: Transfiguration Class

To start, make your way to the Transfiguration classroom where you will meet Deek, the House Elf. Professor Weasley will brief you on the extra assignments that your professors will assign to help you catch up with your peers.

Professor Weasley advises that you travel with a fellow student to Hogsmeade and presents you with a choice between Natsai Onai and Sebastian Sallow. After making your selection, you should speak with Professor Ronen regarding an additional assignment.

Unlocking all of the Transfiguration Spells is a simple task, but it requires knowledge of how to obtain each of them throughout the main quest of Hogwarts Legacy.

The three Transfiguration spells are not unlocked simultaneously or through a single quest.

To unlock the Conjuring and Evanesco spells, you must complete the main quest called "The Room of Requirement" in Hogwarts Legacy. On the other hand, to unlock the Altering Spell, you must complete a side quest known as "Interior Designing" in Hogwarts Legacy.

How To Unlock Transfiguration Spells

The Transfiguration Spells have a specific use in Hogwarts Legacy, as they are used exclusively in the Room of Requirement. There are three spells available for spellcrafting, which allows players to customize the room to their liking. All three Transfiguration spells are unlocked during the "The Room of Requirement" main quest. The Conjuring spell is used to create new spellcrafts using moonstones, while the Evanesco spell is used to make spellcrafts disappear. Additionally, the Altering spell can be used to modify the shape and size of spellcrafts in the room.

Use the Revelio spell to uncover it. The second Field Guide Page for Sir Affpuddle is located in the northeast corner of the room, in front of the statue of a weaponless knight. The guide page is labeled as the Waving Knight page.

After collecting both pages, speak with Professor Binns' ghost to complete the quest.

After a brief cutscene, you'll receive the Beast Petting Brush that you can use to take care of various beasts. To use the brush, follow the on-screen instructions to assign it to a Spell Slot. Then, equip and use it to brush the Puffskein in front of you. Next, assign the Beast Feed to a Spell Slot, equip it, and use it to feed the Puffskein. Once you've successfully completed this, Poppy will lead you to the nearby Kneazle pen. Here, you'll need to brush and feed any Kneazle in the pen by using the brush and feed that you've assigned to your Spell Slots.

After the class, speak to Professor Howin who will assign you additional assignments over time. As he departs, Poppy will ask you to follow her to the forest to meet someone. After following her for a short while, she will call down the Hippogriff, Highwing. Follow the on-screen instructions to bow twice, and then brush and feed Highwing.

You can tell what a beast needs by the two diamonds beneath their name at the top of the screen, with the left diamond indicating brushing and the right indicating food. If both diamonds are green, the beast is content.

As Highwing leaves, Poppy explains that she saved the Hippogriff from poachers years ago and that poachers are becoming more common in the area. Poppy vows to get to the bottom of it with your help, and the quest concludes.

Hogwarts Legacy: Flying Class

If you want to attend Flying class, go to the north courtyard of Hogwarts and start the class near the broom stacks. Madam Kogawa, the Flying professor, will be waiting for you.

She will guide you through the process of summoning your broom and flying through rings. You will also learn how to use the boost on your broom to speed up through rings.

As you complete the task, you'll meet Everett Clopton, a Ravenclaw student who will invite you to follow him around Hogwarts and show you how to use an additional speed boost. After finishing the task, land back down in the courtyard, and Everett will suggest you visit Albie Weekes' shop in Hogsmeade to buy your own broom.

Hogwarts Legacy: Divination Class

Mudiwa Onai will teach you how to see into the future. This class involves using crystal balls, tea leaves, and other items. It can be found at the top of the Hogwarts school tower.

The Demiguise Statue can be found at the beginning of the game, specifically in the Divination Classroom. However, its location may be difficult to spot. You can find it by entering the libary annex though the viaduct entrance and searching for a large spiral staircase in the northeast direction. After climbing the stairs to the top, a trap door will automatically open with a rung ladder descending.

Climb up the ladder, and search for the Demiguise Statue near the back of the room, as it is hidden away.
