URO, TITAN OF NATURE'S WRATH: And here we go! Theros is considered a somewhat underpowered set coming on the heels of Throne and War of the Spark, but man, did this Titan destroy everything with his overpowered ability. Nature's Wrath? OMNATH, LOCUS OF CREATION: And lastly, we have the elephant in the room. The four-armed elemental elephant with the overpowered ability, that is. We thought it was good for Commander and we knew he will be played in Standard, but when the Magic Grand Finals ended in a mirror Omnath finals, we knew there was a big problem. Bye-bye, Omnath! Magic: The Gathering's Standard is having one of the roughest times in history, from having next to no bans for years to new cards being made illegal as soon as they arrive pretty much every set. This is really frustrating to all sorts of players - from kitchen table Timmys, all the way to pro circuit grinders.

Today we are paying tribute to all the banned cards in Standard by admiring their amazing artwork and lamenting their loss.... well, not really, we hate some of them. Think of this as the MTGA Standard Memorial. Boo-hoo!
